MidiVerbIII to PC

Howdy all, I would like to set up my MDIII with and ART digital pedal board to a PC program that I can manage the paramaters of the user settings.
1}Internal PCI Midi card?
2}External USB Midi interface?
3}PC program?
Im just a guitar player, not a musician. I have the manual, and Alesis is just a few miles from me. I asked them also about the best setup for these units.
I use: 91 Epiphone Strat-style with PAF's, 84 Flying V -Two Original Dirty Fingers, and a single coil Symore Duncan at the bridge.{ I want to swap this around to the middle position.}
Custom 1-12/7 effects, Ampeg BA115, Two old Crate G15's
Thanks for any info. Michael

Decided to just get a Line 6 with pedal board and be done with it.
I dont need a computer for what I want, just power. Rock out.
