Question

Can anyone tell me more about the Tascam 238? I've been thinking about getting a Tascam 488 but I'm not looking for too many features, I really just want a few extra tracks and the 238 seems like a cheaper alternative. Anyone have more info about it?

It's a great 8 track cassette deck, the best sound ever to come out of a cassette 8 track the only exception being the dolby "s" version. better specs than a 488MKII. 8 track simultaneous recording. pinnacle of analog cassette tech. You will like it

I've gotten fantastic results with one. Don't use it any more though. It recently died and I'm looking for a place to have it repaired.
