I can imagine. I think it's the only Pink Floyd album I actually have my own copy of - go figure it would be one of their weirdest

Apparently they weren't allowed to use splicing on the brand-new 8-track machine so most of it had to be done in a single take - side 1 being a single track 24 minutes long. I imagine they were able to do punch-ins, though.
Still, I often wonder what it would have been like if they'd been able to splice the tape. Probably awful.
