Reminisce

Song I wrote for a friends audio documentary. Supposed to set the mood a bit for an optimistic future and a good change in the interviewees life.

How is the mix? What would you change?

I'll start, maybe a little sloppy but I like the loose feel to go with the guitar riff. Can't play drums to metronome sorry. Barely can play guitar to a metronome! It's frustrating when I can't do it and thats often.

Pretty cool Eric. I think I like the loose feel too. Only nitpick I have is the guitar is a little too out in front of everything. In some parts it's tough to hear the guitar.

Also, I'd love to put some lyrics and a voice to Leaving Again. If you're interested, send me a pm.

Hey jeff,

do you mean the guitars are too loud but drop out at parts? or theyre too loud the whole time? or too quiet the whole time?

you can add vocals to leaving again if you'd like, i wouldn't mind. I have a low vocal when it gets louder but you can add whatever. That's cool with me. I have a more finished version that's not on this computer yet. I'll let you know when I get it up here and send it to you.

Love the distorted guitars in this, very unique sounding. It sounds like reverse guitars...The intro clean guitar (s?) is very well mixed, taking up the whole stereo field well. Short sweet and very well written/played. Drums are icing on the cake. I like the mix just as you have it....

Thank you very much ido, nice to hear from you!

Yea two guitars in the beginning but just one with little accents. I like the way that part came out for the beginning. The louder part just isn't feeling right the more I listen to it. The guitars don't have a crispness that I would like. I need to work on my distorted guitar sounds. Get the tones right and take more time on the mic placement. The cleans came through good but when it got dirty it lost its clarity.

Thanks for the listen ido! I always appreciate it!
