Arrow First Song Posted Here

Hey all,

I joined this forum many years ago but shortly after things "came up" and I have been away since. I am back now and ready to jump into the fray. This is my first time posting a song here. Comments and feedback are welcome and appreciated!

You can also listen to the song here: www.myspace.com/thebandblackbird

DRIVE, DRIVE
Copyright 2005 - Kenneth Hyrum Davidson

High class master tease I got my hand on your daddy’s keys
First class tastes cheap I know it’s bad but a boy’s got needs yeah
Slide in close the door we’ll take his car to the liquor store
Push down, hard on the gas better buckle up baby cause we’re getting there fast

Drive, drive baby get in we’re gonna drive this car ‘til the trouble begins
Better hang on tight honey don’t let go
I can drive all night and you can turn up the radio
Drive, drive, one hand on the wheel
One hand on your thigh goin’ down for a feel
Hold on tight honey don’t let go
I can drive all night now turn up the radio

Straight past highway 9 we’ll hit the 6 then we’ll 69
Move fast it’s alright you’re looking cool cause your tank top’s tight well
My, my the way you shift you move it fine honey it’s a gift
Gear it high gear it down low doesn’t matter how you move it
Just as long as it goes

Drive, drive baby get in we’re gonna drive this car ‘til the trouble begins
Better hang on tight honey don’t let go
I can drive all night and you can turn up the radio
Drive, drive, one hand on the wheel
One hand on your thigh goin’ down for a feel
Hold on tight honey don’t let go
I can drive all night now turn up the radio

Drive, drive baby get in, Drive, drive baby get in now turn up the radio

Drive, drive baby get in we’re gonna drive this car ‘til the trouble begins
Better hang on tight honey don’t let go
I can drive all night and you can turn up the radio
Drive, drive, one hand on the wheel
One hand on your thigh goin’ down for a feel
Hold on tight honey don’t let go
I can drive all night now turn up the radio

Drive, drive, turn up the radio

The song reads roughly but once I heard it to music I liked it very much. If it were mine I would keep the above and expand on it. Develop a clearer storyline and a song that already rocks would be better still in my opinion. Perhaps with the shortened chorus you might repeat the phrase "turn up the radio". The harmonies there are a nice addition to a powerful phrase. Good luck with your cd.

Thank You

Yeah I am planning a re-wrte prior to recording the "real" version. Thank you for the input, there are some great suggestions there. I will post the first re-write when I complete it...perhaps later today. Thanks again.

Hey Audio,

I thought this song has lots of potential (spelling). With some polish this could really groove. Good work.

Thank you

Thanks bigtom, I appreciate the kind words and feedback.

There are some small changes on the way as a re-write is in the cards.

I am always interested in hearing feedback and am open to any suggestions one might have to improve the song. Thanks again.
