Lightbulb vocalist with home recording capabilities care to collaborate?

Hey Yall, long time reader...first time poster. So to quickly introduce myself, my name is Brent Taylor. I'm 24 years old and from central Louisiana. Music is my life and I have been writing lyrics and composing my own music on various instruments for the past 16 years.

I'm currently working on an intrumental session that has somewhat of a soulful and lightly hip-hop'ish groove to it. (it shares a slightly similar vibe to the hit song by One Republic and Timbeland - "Apologize" ...However, I'm not necessarily looking to duplicate the structure and qualities by any means!)

I'm actually a vocalist myself that has been trained in finding/singing melody, harmonies, etc.. However, I'm looking for a vocalist to collaborate with in this project. If you are a vocalist and have the recording/mixing capabilities at your frequent access (or know a worthy vocalist from which you wouldnt mind capturing some tracks) PLEASE get in touch and maybe we could pass the collaborated session/tracks back and forth via the internet and co-produce a potentially buzz-worthy song.

I would like the intrested guest vocalist to take care of the verses with a soulful groove, yet with that semi-hip hop feel (but DEFINATELY NOT gangster). I would like to personally do the vocals myself in the chorus with a more open and flowing vocal melody - accompanied with some chilling harmonies and whatever ad-libs or phrasing the co-artist may want to layover.

If you or someone you know is intrested in co-producing this project please contact me ASAP by any or all of the means listed below:

online recording collaboration

If you didn't find your collaborators yet, you might have some luck at wezimple.com. I'm a trumpeter and I set up my profile a week ago. Basically it's an online community where find and work with musicians. You have to your own home recording set up. No signup cost, and musicians may work for a fee or not. It's a very new and fast-growing site, so if you don't find the collaborators you're looking for today, that could change tomorrow.

I signed up with the hope of finding paid work, but I am already working on a non-paid project because I'm not as busy with gigs at the moment. I invited 2 friends to join who wanted me to record on their records who didn't know I have moved out of town. So I'm hoping that this site keeps me active in a few different scenes.

good luck with the project

I might be interested in giving this a go. I am primarily a rock'n'roll man, but I am always open to new challenges

song collaboration:

The piece I've posted on wezimple right now (which expires in 2 weeks) needs guitar, piano (both with parts I've posted as midi files you can load into your sequencer to loop to learn by ear, or read as a score), and i need a clarinet for a simple improvisation. There is currently no clarinet player on the site as far as i know. So if anyone knows a good clarinet player with recording capabilities adn who wants to make a few bucks..... have them set up their page on wezimple ...

It's a simple ambient electronic piece I'm working on with a friend for a low budget documentary, so we are asking that musicians keep their fees low.
