What vocoder does Imogen Heap use in "Hide and Seek" ?
If anyone can tell me, it would be great, as I want to record a cover of this song very soon.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cpSv2mNhhc Is it even a vocoder, or is it some sort of voice harmonizer? If so, how can I get it? Is it a rack unit? Do I have to pay for it? thanks Last edited by DARKSHINE; 01-16-2008 at 17:48.. |

The prosoniq orange vocoder has the effect called "ethereal voices" that is pretty close and I am sure others that have the same ability. You could probably email her and ask

its actually a harmoniser in her vocal fx box, she played in 4-5 note chords and it could only harmonise 3 i think so it chose randomly.
cant remember where i read that, but thats it. edit: i do, it was on a tv show about that album on bbc3 Last edited by guitarboi89; 01-17-2008 at 07:03.. Reason: added |

ohh right I see.
how do you think I could set that up? What harmonizer does she use? And if I messaged her myspace and asked her, she most probably won't answer. |
