I think I'll run down tomorrow after work with a stick and give it a couple hits... see how it sounds.

If you have one, bring a mallet too, as sometimes using a mallet will let you hear
a crack you can't really see, or buzzing, that a stick won't...

Thats a good deal try it out and you can always sell it for a profit or sell it for what you paid and give it to a fellow starving musician.
