can the Gina 24 and 2 x Delta 44's co-exist?

G'day people...as per the thread title......
I've used Delta's and CEP/Adobe very successfully for as long as I can remember. I found a beautiful Gina 24, cheap, plays wonderfully along with the Delta's (16 channel total outs into my desk)...just won't allow me to record down to 2 tracks (mixdown) without chopping out halfway thru a song....losing sync......regardless of which 2 inputs (Delta or Gina) I use for the mixdown.
It's a shame, as the sound coming out of and going into Gina prior to going haywire is very nice.
Anyways, has anyone here known of a successful setup of Delta's and Gina 24??
When I pull the Gina out, everything is solid again during mixdown, albeit 8 channels down!

Just stabbing in the dark here, prior to letting Gina go and going for another Delta (1010)......thanx.

oh....nothing is "cable sync'd" in my system, never has been with the 8 stable outs from the Delta's.
cheers.
