Question About Mixer Channel Inserts
I know these are normally used for outboard effects/etc. but the way I have my stuff hooked up, I'm using them as outputs (1 for each channel)...I just read some articles on impedence and now I'm paranoid.
The signal goes like this: Mics plugged into mackie CFX12---> inserts go out to tape using 1/4" to RCA cables (to a tascam 38 reel to reel)--->signal from tape goes to a delta1010lt using RCAs (mostly live using the repro head). My question is this...am I losing alot of the signal using the inserts as outputs to the tape machine? |

Not at all. This is an extremely common way to use an insert.
