Is this a good deal on Mackie HR624's?

I can get a pair of Mackie HR624 for $400 total (used for 3 years on and off from what I'm told). Is this considered a good deal, or should I be looking elsewhere?

I'm trying to graduate from my Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 computer speakers for mixing, and was looking at these. If the above isn't a good deal, can you list some alternatives in the the $400-$500 price per pair range?

I like the Mackies engineering articles, but I've never heard them.

To me, it looks like it could be a good one, especially if there in good shape. There's a pair with dented woofer domes $265 ea. at Sitar City. Tempting- but already covered on that end ('Continuum's', and now SP Mini's' coming
