random patch changes

I am getting random patch changes with play back.

I am using a Korg X3 with CWPA903. I am trying to record midi sequences from the Korg into Cake. I have Cake sync’ed to midi and all the tracks (16) armed. I press play on the Korg and I get some random patch changed!

Then after the data is recorded in Cakewalk, I might get another patch change on playback, with Cake as the master.

Also, twice Cakewalk has only recorded tracks 9 and 10, even though all the tracks are armed!

What gives?
