FS: Peavey ValveKing VK100 head and Marshall MG412 Cabinet ($725)

I'll sell both for $725 plus shipping. They are both pretty heavy, so it would end up totalling a lot -- so I would prefer to deal locally, at least in the area. I am willing to drive an hour and a half to meet up with you. Or, if you want it shipped, we can arrange that. I live in Omaha, Nebraska. I am definitely willing to sell each of these separately, just let me know if that is something you are interested in doing!

The ValveKing was bought in September off of eBay, so I'm the second owner of the unit. I gigged with it since I had it and hasn't given me any problems. It was re-tubed with JJ 6L6GC tubes when it was bought. I never replaced the pre-amp tubes. It sounds great and looks great!

The cabinet was bought a year ago in December of 2006. It was used for practice until August 2007 when we started gigging. It is in great condition and sounds great! It has Celestion 30W speakers.

I am selling this stuff because I want to downsize my rig.

I guess you dont shop at your local Guitar Center.
If you go in there and pay marked retail price, your wasting your money.
Your right, it adds up to 810.00, but I am willing to bet I can wolk out of guitar center with that merchandise for about 650.00 to 675.00.
I have never paid reatail price at our local guitar center, I made friends with the first guy I done bus with there, and its been golden ever since.

JCM900, I was giving you the right! I think you´re right...

IMHO, paying $725 for something used that can be buyed new for 810 bucks w/o any kind of discount is not a really good deal...

I usually get 50% off retail or even more. The fact is the NEW price and 30days exchange and Warranty are large part of cost and worth it.

Selling USED you don't offer 30days or a warranty and its been used in who knows what way? Maybe your a JimiHendrix type?!!

So the PV amp.... I'd say $300
and the cabinet............ $150

I just got a Marshal all tube, mint condition amp, for about 50% retail, actually more....$1100 new to used was $500. but typical.

If there's scuffs and crap....take off even more.

GC usually is a ripoff but is the Blue Book, then they add 50% back on.
GC ...Benefit....You don't have strangers coming to your house and/or lugging an amp around to sell it yourself in an alley at night, or Down by the River.
So you could haul your gear to GC.....be done with it, and possibly get less than 50%.

the shipping in your situation is a mess too, adding even more cost...
Craigslist has been ok, but I been hearing some horrror stories of thugs and villiams and scammers......I'd try that if you want to save on shipping.
craigslist.com

telling you right.

altho you never know!!! there's a sucker born every minute!
