Yamaha S90 arpeggiator not working, what gives?

Don't know if this is the right place to post this, but maybe somebody can lead me in the right direction.

Basically, the arpeggiator just stopped working one day. Don't know if they are related, but it was shortly after trying to use MIDI for the first time.
I have no MIDI cables in it now though.

Normally, when arp is on, you press a key or keys and it makes stuff up, right? Yes, well now if the arp is on, you might here the first note or drum beat of the arp, then it stops. Sometimes you can't even use the sound when arp is on because it plays the first note you press and then stops, you can't play any more, have to turn off arp to use the sound.

As far as I know, arp doesn't work with any of the normal sounds, GM sounds, or combos that are pre-done in the machine. Nor drums.

I have looked through menus but cannot find anything that seems relevant. So does anybody know how to get my arp back? Or how I can go about finding out what is wrong?

One thing I could do, which I don't know how, nor if it's possible, is to reset to entirely factory settings. Can that be done? It would be my first option, but don't know how to do it.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Alrighty, I found out how to reset factory settings and that fixed the arpeggiator!

I have no idea how it broke, but I'm glad it's fixed. I wonder why Yamaha made a "setting" deep in there called "screw up arpeggiator" that only a factory reset can fix?

Anyhoo, thanks for looking.
