How did they get these drums to sound like THIS?!

What do you think was done to get the kick to have such POWER in these recordings?

Good sounding kick

Proper Mic and Placement

Compression EQ Reverb

or

Samples

Compression EQ Reverb

Sounds like some Reverse Reverb also

Here's short demo I just through together using Reverse Reverb and Parallel Compression over a drum loop.

this demo is the whole kit as one would probably treat the drums individually and this is over done... but you'll get the picture

Kit Demo

there are four sections

1. Dry
2. Reverse Reverb
3. Parallel Compression
4. Reverse Reverb + Parallel Compression

.
