Good sequencer for New Order "Blue Monday"-ish basslines

Hello,
I have an Oberheim Ob-8, Roland Juno-60, ARP Odyssey.
I know nothing about sequencnig and syncing basslines to drum machines.
What is a good sequencer that will offer me the capabilities to make sequenced basslines like New Order's "Blue Monday", then be able to sync them to a drum machine?

for starters... if youre using plugings in place of those vintage synths.. they'll miss the mark on the warmth and roundness of the actual analog bass.

im guessing new order used a moog for a lot of their bass lines. you can program almost any sequencer to trigger outboard gear or plug-in.. sonar, cubase, logic.

studio electronics also makes great sounding analog bass units that sound very similar to moog.. nice and fat

but seeing that youre rather new to this.. you might want to get good with programming virtual instruments to a sequencer aforementioned

Um, none of the synths he owns even have midi so the computer will not really give him anything without further confusing the issue.

The mobius has CV/Gate outs (and clk) so he could seq the arp directly for the Ju-60 and OB-8 and directly sequence the Oddy via CV/gate.

The new order bass is a simple filtered square so either of those synths would be capable of doing a pretty close approximation of that sound with the Arp probably being the best choice (assuming it is not a white face) since Arp pretty much copied the moog filter for the mk2-3

I am actually recording on a analog 16 track. Fostex e-16 1/2" reel to reel to be exact. Thanks again!

Um, on the Mobius, can you "track" sequences one on top of the other? I read somewhere that it is only a single sequence machine. If it is, I'm actually looking for a sequencer that you can "track" sequences on. One on top of the other.

Try asking in the analog forumn. Beck does a lot of stuff with sequencers, I believe.
