Battery

I've always used the factory drum sounds in Reason. and am really tired of them. I got a neptunes drum kit a while back, it had some decent sounds, but some of them I recognized directly from reason. so It wasn't a very legit kit. I also started using vynil breaks recently, and am going to continue to mess with it, but...

Has anyone here used Battery by native instruments?
What did you think of it?

can you run the sounds into other drum machines, software and hardware?
(like, plug them into the reason drum machine). does it have rewire?
any info will help.

thanks.

Battery has a large library wavs with kits made in battery format. but you can use the samples in any program that can load wav files. No rewire tho, you can use it as a plug in or stand alone. This Battery 2 i'm speaking of, i'm not up on battery 3 yet.
If your only using Reason and no other sequencer that hosts plug-ins, you're better off buying a couple nice commercial kits.

Battery can be used as standalone or a plug in. U can use it in reaper, cubase, protools, ect... pretty much any software that supporst VST's. I use to use batter and reason 3.0 together. I ran it all from Reaper.
