Just ordered a couple of the 57's (the 3 pack). Curious as to how they will sound.

Thanks for the heads up.

...based on my experience, you won't be disappointed...they are more sensitive than the Shures...so less gain gets you a strong signal...great on drums too...enjoy!

nationalwheel is on a distinguished road
Would the 57's do the job on bass drums??? I'm looking for an economical way to mike a set, I believe these 57's could do the rest of the set??? Thanks

...Great!...I'm glad you guys were satisfied...these are great mics to have in your mic cabinet...good solid all around utility mics...built like tanks!...I gig with them regularly, without any problem...

...but I wouldn't recommend the ES57 for bass drum...it could work, but there are much better options out there...but great as overheads or tom/snare micing...

Hey, I really appreciate you letting us know about this coupon. I had been meaning to try these mics for sometime but always put it off but now I'm really glad I did.

By the way, I had mine shipped USPS and they were here in only 3 days. Wed. to Fri. not bad!

I love the GLS microphones - especially the 57....I prefer it BIG time over the SM-57 on guitar cabs, snares, and other percussion instruments.

Enjoy them.

...I am really pleased that at least a few members of this site have been able to take advantage of this discount...I encourage anybody else who might be "sitting on the fence" right now, in terms of purchasing these mics, to jump in and take advantage of this offer...you won't regret it!...

(no, I don't work for GLS...I just believe in good value for your hard earned dollar!...LOL)

Hey Kidvybes,

Received the mics in the mail Saturday. Sweeeet! They do seem to be built well.

Also check out this picture below. Those $125.00 guitars we all just bought, dont look too bad sitting in the new Studio,,,, do they?..lol

I actually completed my new Studio last week and got the Cert of Occupancy in the mail on Saturday. You'll have to go check out the pics I posted under the "Show me your studio" thread on here.

I cant wait to try these mics out.

Peace
AJ

I just had them out for display for the Studio Open House on Saturday. The front one (Ibanez) is actually my sons, and black one is the first one I won on ebay (thats the one I took to the Church, along with the Sunburst one, and the kids fell in love with them,,,,so I bid and won a second one for one young man on Church Youth and he will be getting it for Christmas) and the Sunburst one is the coolest, but thats sorta "the Youth community guitar" for the Church Youth Band. They will be practicing here now instead of the Church so we can maybe record some stuff for them. (they will eat that up)

I am not a guitarist, I play keyboards, so if you can get any good deals on keys, let me know. Here is my corner of the room (my toys)
