False Hope (Acoustic)

Here's an original I wrote a while back. Just recorded it today, been workin' on it since I got home from school. It still needs tweaking, but I want to hear your guys' opinions on what in particular.

Also, vocals suck, 'cause I'm sick. I'll redo them when I'm not...My brother also wants to do them when he comes down to visit.

I don't like the vocal style. Guitars sound pretty good. Sounds like you're going out of key in some places, not sure if that's on purpose or not. I like the chord progression though.

What kind of guitar is that? Sounds like an Art & Luthrie.

pretty cool idea for a song.....that said...I think you could use a click track for the timing issues.

Oh, by the way...how does my "room" sound? I tried recording everything in my closet.

The lead sitting in front of the rhythm sounds like its off by a few milliseconds. Try scooting your lead over a little bit to the left to compensate.

I didn't hear any room sound on anything. Guitars sounded really "dry" and like they were recorded well. This is how I record my guitar parts, I hate having room sound.

Maybe add a touch of reverb or something unless you want to keep them completely dry. GlaceVerb is a good, free reverb plugin, but use a very small amount or it will sound like a reverb plugin.
