Which would you pick?

I'm recording a Christina Aguilera song with a very powerful singer.

Just for fun...!...

At my disposal I have the following mics: Neumann U87, STC 4038, AKG C414, Sony C800.

Which would you use on vocals and why?

if they're all at your disposal, i'd put them all up and see which works the best depending on which kind of voice the singer has.

If you're disposing of them, I could probably go ahead and get that junk off your hands...

When I saw the U87, I didn't even have to look at the other options.

Me personally, I love the Sony C800. I am assuming vocals here. I am not familiar with the STC, the 414's don't usually make the cut for me, and U87's are just kind of shrill and harsh, unless its an older one. The C800 is a much forgotten highly used mic. Quite expensive though. In the end though, I would at least try another option before just blindly using the c800.
