(CEP 2.0)Help with dialogue only

Im trying to do a fan trailer. My problem is I want to use dialogue with a different soundtrack than what's already there. Is there any way to remove the soundtrack that was already there so I can have just the dialogue?

I have Cool Edit Pro 2.0 but I have no idea how to use it.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

For starters, read the fine manual and the help file.
