DirectX/VST Plugins

Do any of you guys use any plugins that you would consider essential for use in Audition or any other programs?

I think Reverb and EQ are my most essential plugins although I don't use EQ that often.

ReaEQ - Good, free EQ plugin that comes with Reaper. I think it can be used in other software that supports VST also (www.kvraudio.com)

GlaceVerb - Free reverb plugin that's really good.

SIR 1 - A free convolution reverb.

A good compressor: ReaComp, which also comes with Reaper.

And maybe a limiter like W1 Limiter which is free.

I found a verb called FreeverbToo that I just absolutely fell in love with. I use it somewhere on almost every mix. The gated snare sounds great too.

Chiiieeeeck it out.

Back up to their homepage and see what else they have. http://www.sinusweb.de/

Like any good carpenter, you choose a tool to solve a problem.

When you need a plug, you go after a specific tool to get the job done.... not just install them from a list of "oh everybody else has them!"

;-)
