Sonar5 automated mute and Tascam FW-1884

I had read in several places that Sonar doesn't support automated mute for control surfaces and haven't been able to trick it into multi-track automated mute, but have been able to get it to work on a one track basis.

I was able to use the FW-1884's arrow keys to select the mute of the sonar track and then use the "enter" button "F7" on the FW-1884 to toggle and untoggle the automated mute while recording automation.
