Since my pcr card is not full duplex and I cant monitor previous tracks while recording would it be possible to be recording with the pcr and monitoring with my soundblaster?

Thank you sonusman, I am not totally set up yet and will try it as soon as all components are in place. I am in
agreement with you as to my chances of making it work.
I thought someone else who has the card might chime in with an answer. From all I have heard I am suprised that my card works and installed and worked with very little problems. Alesis could have let it be known in larger print somewhere that the card was not full duplex. Luckily I bought mine used for a 100.00 and didnt get to taken. It was before I knew what full duplex meant anyway.

Thumbs up pcr card

I've had it! Out with the Alesis pcr card & in with the Yamaha DSP2614. Gotta wait 2-3 weeks but I'm hoping it'll be worth it. Great deal going on at $299.00 WITH an ADAT interface. There appears to be more things I CAN"T do with the Alesis card, than things I CAN do! I just wanna turn it on & work on projects instead of experiencing the joy of lockups.

Like I said, I've been lucky, my card works perfectly within is limitations. I never lock up or have any problems downloading, I just cant monitor.
