My Firebox keeps doing this frustrating, annoying thing where everytime I open up a new application, or new window while audio is playing, the audio will started doing this slow distorted skipping. I called Presonus, they had no idea. Has anyone had this problem. I talked to a guy who I used to record with, and he says he's had the problem within Cubase, but mine seems to be strictly happening with the firebox. Any idea????

What are the specs of your PC? Could be a number of things...
Does this happen when you play an audio file in a media player? When you're recording? When? |

My computer is :
Windows XP Pro 2.2 ghz 1.5 gigs RAM Software: Cubase SX3 It happens both during SX3 and not. If I'm on youtube and open a new window, the sound will start skipping slowly. I use the firebox all the time as the pc's soundcard. |

Try disabling the on board sound from the computer BIOS... sounds like you might be calling it up. You may want to disable system sounds in your windows theme.. that could be what's calling the wrong driver...
