reaper crashing -- uad involved!

my project keeps freezing... stuttering... glitching... it's hell...

it might be my uad card, I don't know... but I'm feeling like moving to pro tools or something....

anyway. I've got the uad setting checked in the vst section... I've optimized my reaper settings for uad1 use (according to a thread at the reaper site), and still I'm getting this freezing... glitchin'

anyone?

before we go any further... I want to test a few things. I took out the uad hardware and everything is working perfectly...

Another thing I should mention is that the card is causing my computer to freeze in general, and it also causes problems when booting up...

It's totally a uad hardware issue... this is what I believe, anyway...

I'm looking into it.

UA's drivers are awful. Theyve had years to fix them, tons of repros with which to test, yet no traction...every few years theres been a minor fix, but its always been up to the DAW developers to try to make the things work right.

I have one for testing purposes, and another user sent one to Justin to dissect, but its still a bit iffy
