Question

Im looking to start a mini-home studio to start putting together some "Urban Gospel Music.

I have over 7 cases of old school albums from the 70's and 80's (Slave, Tyone Brunson, Tom Brown, Lakeside, Fatback Band etc) and I want to incorporate some of the beats into Urban Gospel Hip-hop tracks.

My talents are limited to singing, writing lyrics, melodies by ear and playing a little on my MOOG Synth Base.
Currently, Im co-leading the youth chior at our church and I really want to be able to put together some tracks to add a little flavor...

I have a HP 700MHZ, 64MB, 20GB w/CD-Rom System.
Before I go out and spend any money is there any suggestions of the what software or equipment I can use to get started....

If anyone can feel me-- I would be greatful for any advice
Thank You
Michael StChristopher

ps. If anyone is looking for any hard to find old school drop me a line and I might be able to locate it for you
