Channel 1 of Tascam 414 died :(
Well it didn't actually died, the channel is still ok, I plug the mike/line/guitar and I hear it and the peakmeters show it, but it doesn't record anything on the tape
What are the most common problems and how can it be solved?PD: I don't know if it's relevant but when I try to record, it doesn't record anything but it does erase what was previously recorded. |

Track one is a left buss so maybe check your panning to ensure you didn't have it turned to the other side of the recording buss. Also make sure the track is armed to record and that you're not using a cassette with the erase safety tab removed. Also check your levels.

I'm not THAT newbie
![]() Panning were all in center, I tried recording from the bus or directly from the channel, from every source available (xlr, 1/4 line and 1/4 guitar), and yes, the track was armed... |
