Why is it that I go to insert a new track, no problems, but as soon as I insert a media file into that track, it pushes the other tracks so that their start point is the end of the track I just inserted?
Is this making any sense? Why is this happening OVER AND OVER again? What the hell is going on?

Are you sure you are just highlighting the track you want to insert the file into? Sometimes I highlight multiple tracks by mistake and that messes things up.
