Does this look like splicing tape to you...

http://www.studiospares.com/pd_12014...APE%2014in.htm

...before i order online? It doesn't look like the 1/4" splicing tape i'm used to seeing, more like water adhesive gumtape for arts and crafts. what do you think?

According to the product description, it should be OK. Though the graphics look a little weird, I'll admit.

also...

If you're going to use this for splicing 1/2" tape, I'd probably recommend seeking out 1/2" wide splicing tape though.

Studiospares know their stuff so it should be okay. I notice they're preparing to sell RMGI tape now.
If you're based in the UK, check ebay as well - Zonal often sell direct through it.

Studispares are still waiting for the RMGI stock to come in and they have nothing in the way of splicing tape for a week or more.

Anyone here know of another uk based supplier (preferably London based)?

Ta'

Canford Audio have splicing tape:
http://www.canford.co.uk/

They're in Tyne & Wear, but I've had good luck with them so far, mostly for Zonal 700.

I have no idea where they're based, but I've just discovered these people:
http://www.tapeshack.co.uk

Frankly their site looks kind of scary - they seem to sell no products other than R2R tape and their Terms and Conditions have to be seen to be believed.

e.g.

After-Sales Services and Guarantees
<Please insert your guarantee policies>

They do claim a 3-day delivery on 1/2" and 1/4" splicing tape though so it might be worth trying if you're desperate.
