PT with echo audiofire question

any problems i should be aware of?
i'm definitely leaning in this direction for new converters.

You can only use Pro Tools with Digidesign interfaces (or M-Powered Pro Tools with M-Audio interfaces).

so you say, and i'm sure you'll still need digidesign hardware to open protools,
but the audio fire is saposed to work within protools.

this is one of the things i'd like to know for sure.

like he said only digi or maudio. Those cards act as a dongle or a security measure.

nope, when they say "works with all major audio software"
they mean "all except protools"
