Are you having problems? I'm about to get Logic 8 for my macmini G4. Iuse Logic Express 7.2 and Pro Tools 7 right now without any problems.

but I have been on the PT blues and am thinking about changing over to Logic...

L8 requires 10.4.9

what's your OS, i'm betting you need an update if nothing else.

installed logic studio on the imac (i upgraded the OS three months ago)

works fine. A bit sluggish with a bunch of instruments open, but i can render then as audio as i go.

We'll probably get a used power mac g5 or a new mac pro next quarter or so.

FWIW I've just upgraded to Leopard and gone from Logic 7.2 to Logic studio on my G5.

It works well !
