Bass POD-XT vs POD-XT

I just picked up a bass POD-XT and I see it has a lot of the same FX and amps as the guitar POD-XT.

Are they in fact the same?
Will the Bass POD-XT sound the same as the POD-XT if only using a singel FX?

the effects are probably the same, but the inputs will be way different. the circuits will be made for bass frequencies on the bass pod, while on the regular pod, the frequencies will be a lil different. it won't sound the same.

i'm not completley sure tho.....

I use the original POD's Small Tweed amp and compressor and get real good bass sounds.

They are all just tools...a bass can sound really good from a pod xt...but of course the bass pod is made for bass modeling and it is NOT the same unit. Whatever you choose should reflect your practices...do you play 60% guitar and 40% bass? Get the pod xt.....
