Ok, here's the setup! I've two amp head, both rated at 300 wts, but one(Trace Elliot AH-300) is 300 at 4ohms, the other,(Sunn Bass Coliseum 300) 300 at 2 ohms. I run the Trace with a 4x10 and a 1x15, both 8ohm cabs. I want to run the Sunn, but, with these two cabs, is not as powerful as the Trace. However, I recently had a cab repaired that is 4 ohms. I'm thinking of running 1x15 and this 4 ohm 2x10 together. I believe the Sunn will then see a 2.6ohm load. But, what will be the resulting wattage available, in this config? Will the result be creamy?

The available wattage will be....a little under 300W. How much under is hard to tell. If you knew the 4ohm rating for the amp you could get a bit closer maybe...

Unless you need the maximum power you can get, it's not something to worry about.

Correct - actually, 225 watts. The 8 ohm will put out 75 watts, and the 4 ohm 150 watts. As for the sound, you'll just have to try it.

It works out to -1.2db from 300W. Hope you can live with that much loss.

I think it'll be good. I don't run the Trace more than 60%, now.
