Sp 404

recently i realised how useful this could be for my setup, but there's one thing that could keep me from buying it: how easy is it to load samples into the memory card?

i dont exactly know what compact flash is but i know its not compatible with macs, so i would need to use my old pc to use it, that's already quite a limitation...

Compact Flash is a type of memory card best known for use with digital cameras. All you need to make it Mac compatible is a Compact Flash card reader and then you're in the SP404 business.

It should be a drag and drop thing to load samples to and from the CF card on your Mac --- you wouldn't need your 'old pc' at all. And once you've invested in the CF card reader the SP404 can read CF cards up to a gig in size. For $30 at your local computer store you'd have enough memory to last a good long while.
