Trouble Recording With Lexicon Omega and Cool Edit.

As stated in the title I have a Lexicon Omega Pro and use Cool Edit Pro 2.0. I also use Logitech USB headphones.

I've recorded many times without a problem and now I have nothing but problems.

Everything is properly set on the interface. The mic is plugged in and phantom power is on. Lexicon is selected as the recording device in Cool Edit and the track is armed for recording. When I press "record" it doesn't record.

I tried recording in Audacity and that doesn't record, either.

I know it's just a settings issue, but I can't figure out what setting and where.

Anybody have any ideas?

I never heard of omega pro...
But if everything is hooked up properly like you said and routed correctly as you mentioned...Then the next thing i would check personally would be the drivers... maybe windows sound max is back and the ASIO drivers are gone...

That happens a lot in windows. ...I'm willing to bet thats the problem..

maybe there is a known issue with the omega drivers and certain O.S

Are you getting sounds when you are not working on music?

Have you tried uninstalling the ASIO and re installing them again...?

Are there updates available for your drivers? hmmmmm.... it helps to stay current with the drivers and makes a big difference...

I would at least give it a try..

You may also get more responses describing the system starting with what version of windows...For example; It would be hard for someone that is Thinking windows M.E. all the time to walk you through something like X.P. ...

I hope this helps And good luck..
