he was an amazing driver, incredibly talented, and his many championships are proof of that in one of the ballsiest forms of auto racing. sucks that he's gone.

Was he the pilot? Statistically speaking, compared to auto racing flight is pretty safe.

i'm pretty sure he was the pilot in the helicopter. i guess a helicopter ride is a little more "ordinary" than sliding a car sideways through the dirt on the edge of a sheer cliff at 80MPH. those rally drivers are soemthin else...and the fans who stand right at the edge of the trail are even crazier.
