I haven't seen the crowd estimates yet, but from my perspective there were a hell of a lot of people there.

Lafayette Park (AKA Peace Park) across from the White House was the assembly and pre-march speech area.

Cool pics, Mad. They bring back a lot of memories.

I photographed a number of DC protests back in the 1980s when I lived there. It's always an interesting spectacle. Of course, I never really cared for the thousands of people who descended on my neighborhood (The Hill) and jammed the metro stations. But I guess that's the price of living in a democracy and living at the heart if it.

Nice photos you have there Norman and looks like a great turnout! I've volunteered my time and sound system for quite a few of the local protests in the last several years-wish we had as big a turnout-but hey-as long as there is a big turnout anywhere its getting the public's attention!
