Will reaper sell out?

I'm buying Reaper. I love this program, for so many reasons. But is anyone else worried that 4 years down the line it'll be another big bucks program (surely a good one) and people with reasonable incomes will be looking for the next best thing?

I hope not, and here's some encouragement for you reaper devs to stay more intelligent.

If it does, you and me can just keep using this version, which works fine

Acquisitions aren't too common in the audio world anyway, Adobe already bought out Syntrillium, but who knows.. Maybe Autodesk will take a stab at Reaper as an "audio compliment to the CG pipeline" and integrate all kinds of unneeded features.

I doubt it, Justin has it made already, he's just doing Reaper for fun basically. But who knows. Version 1.888 works fine for me, although I kind of want to try the beta...

try the latest one in the beta thread, theres a new compiler build and it needs to be chacked across many cpu's
seems great so far, people are reporting lower cpu use
