I am all for cats. I love the two I have. But let's not get too carried away with their worth. While they are nice companions, dogs are indeed FAR more important in our society!

Dogs can do a lot of stuff and nobody's putting them down.

You can't possibly imagine how important cats actually are in our society, because there's no way of "measuring" how much they do for us and how many people they've helped. And that's nothing personal against you...I don't know it all either, but I'm working on finding out.

i know of a drug detecting cat. my girl's cat absolutely loves the smell of pot..... and will in fact run to it.

If doesn't surprise me that cats are more popular. They don't require bathing or walking for a start. I like dogs, but it wouldn't be fair for me to have a dog and leave it stuck in the house all day while I'm at work, whereas the cat can just come and go as he pleases. I'm sure that many people are in the same situation.
