How to install LAME .dll???
Once again, this is baffling me.
WTF do I place the .dll file for LAME so that I can encode mp3's within Reaper ~OR~ how do I properly install LAME so that reaper finds the .dll file? Yes, I'm an idiot...and this is thoroughly PISSING ME OFF!!! ![]() ![]() Thanks for you understanding! ![]() |

just drag and drop the dll into your \programfiles\reaper directory

After decompressing the zip file, I see no .dll files at all!
Is there some other extension they may be titled as? ![]() |

Umm, nevermind.
The first download I found had NO .dll files in the zip file! The second did, and now REAPER encode dandy (so far so good anyway)... Thanks. |

You should actually get lame_enc.dll and place it in your WINDOWS\system32 directory.

Yep, any DLL in system32 is automatically able to be accessed without a full path because of the PATH env. variable. Makes everything easier.

I just tried it in ntrack and it's still a no go. Piece of clunky doo doo. Glad I have Reaper now.

Make sure you're using lame_enc.dll instead of lame.dll.

That's what i'm using. I put it in the windows/system 32 folder and the ntrack bladeenc folder. Still a no go. |

if N-track isn't actually looking for the dll then obviously it won't do anything - so it's a question of if they programmed it with MP3 support.
