Unfortunately that’s not my cat. I ran across the pic when I was searching for something else and just thought it was kinda cute.

I am currently catless. I had a really old yellow tabby that died some time ago named O’Malley. That pic reminds me of when he was just a pup. He was a cool cat. Well you know cats they are all mysterious, but each one has his/her own thing.

He used to stretch up to the doorknob on the door to the basement where he liked to sleep and rattle it to let me know he wanted it open. So I bought a leather doorknob cover and he would open it himself.

It used to freak people out… he would walk by while people were sitting at the kitchen table and disappear around the refrigerator… next the doorknob would rattle a few times and the door would creak open. It was great with new friends or a friend with a friend was over that didn’t know what was going on. “What the… did that cat just open the door?” He didn’t look quite big enough but somehow he would stretch up just far enough. He was my little ghost… always hearing creaking doors and bumps in the night.

He was smart. I think he could have learned to drive had our state driving requirements not been so anti-cat.

As for myself I learned to drive by watching Dukes of Hazard and still managed to get my license. :

LOL Beck - I had a blue Burmese named Shane who had sussed out the lever mechanism on the screen door, and would launch from the back of the sofa, hit the lever with his front paws in mid-air as his back feet hit the door with enough force to fling it open and land outside the door as it swung shut....

...very startling if you're walking by outside!!

LOL, I would love to see that, and even more so the look on the faces of passers-by.
