br600, moving track data to fill gaps

hello everyone. i'm new, to this website, and to recording. i'm a moron about equipment, so i may ask moronic questions; please bear with me. i recently purchased a boss br600 digital recorder. i recorded one track and then played it back. i found out how to erase the parts of the track that i don't like, but now i don't know how to slide the track data together so it's one continuous recording.

any and all help is greatly appreciated. thanks everybody.

Please don't double post.

That means posting the same or a very similar question in more than one forum.

You need to use the track cut function now and cut the erased sections out of the track to close the gaps in the track!

This is the BR-600 that's the subject here, and there is no 'track cut' function and no way to close gaps that have been made in tracks except to cut and paste over them.
