I don't know if Digidesign has a microphone in it's lineup. Why would you need a mic specifically for protools anyway? Aren't you just recording vocals or instruments? Try out these:

...

Can you use Firewire mics with an 002? I didn't see a FW800 jack on it, guess it'll be lower quality with the FW400... only 16/44.1 maybe 48?

Are Mackie monitors compatible with Pro Tools? Or do I have to buy Digidesign proprietary monitors to be able to hear what I'm doing?

Digidesign monitors only, ProTools will blow your Mackie monitors if you use them. Don't forget the iLok on the back of your DD monitors...

Nothing about pro-tools is integrated! It is segregated to Digidesign only!

A couple of guys in this thread need a good sense of humor check. But hey didn't Blue advertise that the Bluebird was designed with help from digidesign? So there you go, obviously the Bluebird is the only way to go, I'm gonna order 10 of them.
