EQ help
Whats a good EQ for
H M L im looking to record something with the same tone as bands such as black dahlia murder brign me the horizon necrophagist or just generally heavy metal stuff |

It pretty much depends on your mics and recording technics. There is no way around listening to it while you adjust the EQ.

Yeah the smiley face EQ is pretty much a standard, and it looks cool because it's a smiley face, so how it effects the sound is pretty much irrelevant...
I put the smiley faces on all my tracks... H, M, and L. |
