Is my cat normal?

Ok so he seems to bring in like 2 birds a week. I've never had a cat that was that prolific a hunter. I'd be half pissed off if I wasn't so proud.

And when I walk to one of our local shops, which is located on a main road, he follows me until just before the end of my road, won't go onto the main road, and waits for methere till I get back. If I go to the other local shop, where there are no main roads en route, he follows me all the way to the shop, waits outside for me, and follows me back home. In fact he pretty much follows me everywhere when he's not off hunting, chattering at me the whole time. And when I say follow, I mean he walks alongside me.

Is that normal or have I just got a dog that meows and looks like a cat?

A friend of my had a serious hunting cat. She would bring in birds, squirrels, whatever. Half the time she would decapitate them before leaving the bodies on his bed!

I wake up to find him torturing things to death under my bed.

I half expect that kind of psychotic behaviour from a cat. But the following me thing....I've never seen anything like it before. Other cats I've had, as soon as they get outside, they seemed to run away from anything that was significantly taller than them.

He's only 1 year old. In fact it's his birthday tomorrow.

Yep my cat brings in things all the time.... Caught the fucker playing with a mouse in the hall last night. Threw him out of the house, spent 10 mins chasing the mouse round the hall with a box till I caught it. Let the mouse go outside in a bit of waste ground. 10 mins later the fucker brings another one in and we went through the whole thing again

My mums cat used to follow us down the road like yours does. When we got to the main road he'd go and hide in a bush till we comeback and then follow us home again......

I grew up on a farm. We had about 3.5 acres of orchard in our back yard, and our cats would leave decapitated bird heads on the front porch almost every morning. We used to watch them hunt. Just waiting patiently in trees for hours until a bird doesn't notice them and lands, and then they pounce. It's pretty cool to watch. Now the following thing, I've never heard no shit like that before man, you're cat's crazy!

Sounds like a pretty cool cat. I had one that would follow me on walks but I lived out in the country and we seldom crossed roads. But she'd follow along through the woods for hours. She was a stone-cold killer too. Birds, mice, moles, voles, chipmunks, frogs, toads, snakes. A real terror.

The cats I have now might follow but I don't really walk much around here. They don't kill as often as Raisa either. Actually they resemble comfy furniture. La-Z-Boys.

My old cat was just like that, he'd follow me fishing, on walks, etc. My new cat isn't quite as smart, but he's a savage hunter, and he likes to jump in my car when the door is open, which is kind of odd.

Btw, he hasn't been fixed yet. That's prioabbly why he doesn't hate cars...

My cat brings creatures in all the time. Remember, cats can't fly, so the birds are obviously fucking with him, and he's winning.

Oh he always wins. A lot of cats keep coming in trying to steal his food, and some of them were trying to intimidate him for a while. He's obviously battered them up a bit because a fair few of them don't come in anymore, and they run a fuckng mile when they see him. But then he's the only cat I know who can climb a brick wall with his claws.

He's not a Bengal, but was chosen as a present from a friend who has a one. I think his Bengal-ness was a possible catalyst for the choice, as she has always had a very good eye for a good cat, and I've always loved her Bengal. A few people have commented that he seems very similar to a pedigree cat.
