Adding tracks on CEP 2.1 or Adobe Audition??

I'm think about switching all my files over to Adobe Audition because there is only one thing that I really want that is not on CEP 2.1 and that is the ability to insert tracks. When I say insert track I mean the ability to be able to create a new track after another track which then moves all the other tracks down. Does Adobe Audition have this feature? Or is there a way to do this with CEP 2.1?

This can be done manually, and very easily within CEP 2.0, (or later versions of it)
Are you not recording in the 'multi-track' view mode anyway?...or are you 'importing' files?......(right click on multi view, within a track).

This is odd.....anymore info might be good to help us help you.

Regards,
spit.
There

If you try to insert a new audio-file but you don’t have any available track, A. Audition would create one automatically.
It is possible in AA 2,0 to easily move tracks vertically so you’ll be able to group your tracks at any time.
You don’t need to worry about Fx-rack and all other adjustments. Everything would follow its track.
(Grab your track just beside its name and drag it up or down.)
I don’t remember if this was possible in CEP but SuperSpit was definitely right about creating of new tracks.

Interessting. I'm using this software for years and wasn't aware of that feature.
Btw. it also works with Audition 1.0, just checked. Thus, it should work with CEP 2.1 as well, since it is almost identical.

while you can physically (drag & drop) reposition wavs in AA1.0 not all the track settings migrate with that move

this was an issue with CEP2 not corrected with 2.1 (which became AA 1.0) while I tried AA2 did not keep it installed for a variety of reasons and don't remember whether all track info migrated with the wav

If we move wavs, track settings aren't affected by this. I didn't expect anything else.

What issue are we talking about exactly?

And moving tracks works just fine in AA 1.0, ie. name, solo, mute, EQ, volume, pan, SFX racks, rec and out settings all moved with the track, along with all included wavs with their properties.

That's for the info sikter of all this time using CEP 2.1 I never tried to move a whole track. This is what I was looking for thanks! I can just move a blank track where I want and that acts as an insert.
