TEAC YTT-1144 for ten bucks few hours left
and nobody cares...

Yep… I saw it. He sold that same tape in June. Something must have gone wrong. The tape was made in 1987… right in the worst time for sticky-shed.
TEAC used AMPEX 456 to make those. That may have been what went wrong with the first sale. ![]() The one you want if you are looking is the YTT-1144-2 (YTT-11442). That was the latest version and it was made with the new AMPEX formulation, so no sticky worries. It also has the 3.15k tone on it for fine-tuning the tape speed of your machine. The older 1144 like in the above auction does not have that. ![]()
