help with patchbays
I'm a newbie when it comes to multitrack recording. How do I use a patch bay to route live mics to a recording mixer and to my Korg 12 track recorder?

You don't, you use a patch bay to have access to multiple outboard gear (ie: compressors, eq's, effects, and sometimes preamps)
You should just go mixer to Korg

yea, it's not really for mics. It's more for the lineouts from your mic pres, or the direct outs from your mixers, and external line level gear...
