I gotta say the vocal quality was good, but man your voice, you gotta toughen it up, and sounded off beat at some parts cuz u tryna throw too many syllables on, but not bad, i still cant get over the fact you said reppin my bros...lmao, sounds more like your talking then rapping. keep at it tho.

Haha I said "rap and my bros" not "reppin my bros".

But thanks. I'm gonna be getting a good mic soon(AT2020)...one that is more than $50. I try to be louder and I try to make my voice stronger but my mic can't take it...as you know, I wasn't even that loud and it was kinda getting distorted anyway at parts. You don't even wanna know how bad the quality sounds when I get louder.

The mix could be a lot better. I would suggest a new better mic in your price range. I agree with ammarg with syllables and sounding like you're talking rather than rapping. Sounds like you're new to the game, nothing wrong with that. As you grow you'll learn how to make shit great. I'll critique more later.

I don't think you really need to 'toughen up'. Rap isn't about being tough, having more emotion in your voice wouldn't hurt though. You were off beat alot though, it shows in parts were you have to slow the sentence down to make sure you get the last word on the beat for example you said:

'Give my last-good-byes'

I think a flow improvement would help you alot. Also the hook isn't seperated from the rest of the song, the only thing that makes it recognisable as a hook is the fact that it's the only part of the song we hear twice, therefore it's assumed. The hook should sound different to the verse, it should be performed different, either with more emotion or it should flow differently or even be sang. You should try layering your vocals on some rhyming words now and again, to add emphasis to your lines and individual statements your making.

yes i agree you don't need to be tough to rap thats wut the industry wants you to think you have to be even though over half them mofos talk about shit they ain't never did or even do so nah u don't gotta be tough, u gotta have a distinct voice that when the radio comes on someone can know it's you and not a morning talkshow ( not tryin to be harsh just giving an example) but u do sound like your talking and if it's the mic like u said than it's understandable and when you upgrade i hope u post more so we can hear the emotion flow through it. also think about some room treatment or if your on a budget try looking into this little dish....it hooks up to your mic stand and is great for people on a budget.

Wow.

The store I went to didn't have AT2020's so I got a B1. I bring it home and set it up but it was broken ~_~

I was hoping I would bring the fiyaaa for the fam but maybe later.

And that dish thingy is like way too much. My budget is like $3.

YO!

1.) You sound so uncomfortable on the Em-I-CEE........

2.) One thing about being a rapper is, it has to flow. It's not just words to recite, but it's alot of feeling and emotion involved.

3.) You need to have a defined hook that will bring all of the verses together, as far as getting your message across. There should be a message you want to get across, and your hook should be the Body of your message.

4.) Keep at it! I'm in Boston, so maybe one day we can collab in person! If you need a Hook, trust me, I'm your guy!!!!!!
